I feel like we all forget just how terrifying the Spiral can be outside of Michael and Helen's corridors. The priest Edwin Burroughs straight up tore someone's skin off and ate it without realizing it. Which leads me to this horrible thought.

Martin knows Jon is asexual, but isn't certain where exactly he sits on the spectrum when it comes to actual sex. So when Jon starts coming onto him, he's shocked but not entirely opposed. Maybe his clothes seem a bit difficult to get off of him, but Jon is very clearly saying he wants this so it's okay. Maybe Jon digs his fingers into him or bites him, but he DID say he wants to try being rough and is now even asking to be restrained so of course it's okay. Maybe he can feel the wetness of Jon's tears when he kisses him, but Jon's smiling at him so they must be tears of joy.

In other words, the Spiral completely messes with Martin's perception of reality and Jon has a terrible horrible no good very bad time. I feel like either POV would be fascinating to consider, so no pickiness there.
