Prompt Post: The Magnus Archives #1
Rules
1. All comments to the meme must be anonymous. Linking to fills on AO3/Tumblr/website of your choice is allowed, but comments here must still be posted anon.
2. Concrit is welcome if the author requests it, but character bashing, kink shaming, and hijacking threads by derailing prompts with contrary comments or asking for additions to the prompt are not allowed.
3. Warning for spoilers and subjects such as non-con, incest, underage, character death and worms is highly recommended, but not mandatory.
4. Crossover prompts between Rusty Quill Gaming and The Magnus Archives may be posted to both posts.
5. Please link all fills to the fill post.
6. Don't be an asshole. Mods reserve the right to freeze, screen or delete at their discretion.
7. While it should go without saying (kink meme and all) please be advised that much of the content here may not be appropriate for individuals under 18.

(Anonymous) 2021-05-27 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)Makes me think (without assuming it's what OP or author intended, just, meta about the fill) that in this version of events, if Martin still got sucked into the first lonely domain they came across, then he probably wouldn't have been able to pull himself out, with such a broken connection between them, and Jon would've only spent a token amount of time looking for him before giving up? So Jon would end up travelling most of the way alone, even more convinced by that newest failure that any time he'd tried to help anyone it'd been worse than useless. And then he'd still have taken Jonah's place in despair, and if anyone stopped him it'd probably have been Georgie and Melanie enacting Annabelle's plan and not hanging around after stabbing him. If Martin was released from a lonely domain after that sort of end to the apocalypse, then he'd have eventually gotten a fresh start, of a sort?

(Anonymous) 2021-05-27 11:18 pm (UTC)(link)The only thing worse would be Jon looking on while Not-Sasha destroys Martin before he does anything about her, but I don't think even this Jon is that far gone.I don't think Jon would even bother to search Georgie and Melanie out - he'd just give up somewhere between losing Martin and killing Helen and settle in to his destined role.Annabelle is pissed and, likely, directs her attention elsewhere (probably Georgie and Melanie, mayyybe Martin) and Jon gets to be the big bad rather than Jonah. If Martin's involved in the stab-Jon plan, he's probably mostly relieved that it's over, with the added trauma of murdering the man he used to love.
It's great! Even without Jon explicitly stating it ("You are my reason") their relationship is so central to season 5 that I can't imagine going any way but absolutely awfully after a schism like this.
